The weekend is drawing to a close and it was fun and eventful. Saturday a trip to the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado was on the agenda. It had been a while since I had been out there and they have made quite a few improvements and additions to the facility. A new walkway over the enclosures is well underway and is expected to be complete in the next few months. Some of the walkway has been opened up to visitors allowing better viewing of the lion areas. It will soon extend over the bear and wolf areas. Another visit in the coming months will definitely be required. I have added a few shots to my Animal and Wildlife gallery from my visit. As a professional photographer based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado (a Denver suburb) I have easy access to the entire region including the Denver Metro area and the spectacular Rocky Mountains. Although I spend most of my time here in Colorado, the many different types of terrain and climate are enough to keep any passionate photographer busy year round.
